News:
Upcoming shows in NYC before the summer in Europe
Posted on May 28, 2018
It’s been a while since my last post. I’ve been busy organizing the summer tours and doing a lot of work in NYC, as well as vacationing with my dear friends in New Orleans, I’ll update you on that with a couple of super cool photos and videos in my newsletter- please sign up for it if you haven’t yet.
In the meantime, I’m leaving for Croatia to play two tours and some additional shows, and the most important thing is that I’m bringing my band over. You can see the confirmed dates in the Calendar and more are to be announced.
We will cover Croatia, Italy, Serbia (first time in my life!) and Slovenia. Mat Muntz is already in China, so we will play these two shows without him in trio, with Benjamin Rosenblum on accordion and for the first time Vicente Hansen Atria on drums and percussion.
We will be playing at Sofar Sounds NYC this Wednesday, so send me a message to receive the code. I you are not familiar with Sofar, it’s a concept that is beyond my comprehension – they bring 3-4 bands per night to a pop up non musical venue, and people sign up for it not knowing where will they go or who will they hear. What a mystery!
We will also play at Jalopy Theatre and School of Music as a part of long lasting Roots n’Ruckus concert series.
Lastly, I will be singing with ROSA at the International Brooklyn Music Festival.
I’m so excited that I will be able to bring my band over to Europe for the first time, thanks to the grant of our Ministry of Culture and many other enthusiasts. We will celebrate the 10th Crescendo Festival as well, with some amazing guests… stay tuned for more info soon. And save the date: July 10, Cres, Open Air Cinema.
Hope to see you at one of those events or in the Old Country.
xoxo Astrid
