First video from the sold out album release concert at Carnegie Hall with audience singing!

“Breathe Freedom” song delivers an important message and I wrote inspired by my friend’s Facebook status. I often tell him he should be a poet, but he is, in fact, a wonderful lawyer from Syria, Deyaa Alrwishdi.

We met at International House, the dorm in NYC I called home for two years and where I was lucky to make friends with people from all over the world. His powerful words captured the longing for home in its essence and I wrote the song in an afternoon. This is a song that made the whole audience sing together with us and brought tears to many eyes.
